Following a major game 3 win in Dallas to take a 3-0 series lead in the Western Conference Finals, the Warriors look to make their 6th finals appearance in 7 years. No team has ever come back from being down 3-0, with teams leading 3-0 being 146-0 to win their series. Given the way the Warriors have played, it’s almost impossible to imagine them becoming the first team to ever blow a 3-0 lead. Golden State is not a team to take a lead for granted, after choking a 3-1 lead in the 2016 NBA Finals against Cleveland.

Assuming the Warriors make the finals, this would be the Warriors 6th finals appearance in 7 seasons, and if they win it would be their 4th finals win since 2015. This would also be Klay Thompson’s 6th straight finals appearance in a row, as he was injured for all of the 2021 NBA season.

Luka Doncic and the Mavs have seemingly accepted their defeat, "I'm still learning," said Doncic, who had 40 points, 11 rebounds, three assists and two blocks. "I think the first two quarters, I played very bad. That's on me. But I'm still learning.” The Mavericks have a promising future, as they are just 1 piece away from a championship.
